Interview with Relentless, vocalist of Endrah

If you were a porn star, what would your porn star name be?

Well my current stage name really fits the bill for being a porn star. Relentless. Why would I change a name like that. I think the ladies could dig it for sure. haha

What are your thoughts on mainstream music today?

Most of it sucks and is totally over-produced. I like music that a band can actually play live and it sounds right. I prefer mostly underground music though I am open minded and talent is talent. A song here and there on the radio I may like, but generally I don’t relate to that style of music. ENDRAH is about keeping it really real. Our lyrics invoke a feeling of revenge and taking back what is yours. We deal with political, social, and environmental issues. We don’t focus on fake love moments like most bullshit pop music is. Our music is meant to have meaning both musically, and lyrically. Give ENDRAH a listen at the gym, or while doing some work. It’ll move you! ENDRAH is on ITunes, Amazon, Pandora, Spotify, everywhere. Give us a like on Facebook and also Twitter and Instagram.

What is the most insane thing you’ve done on stage?

While on tour with Vengince in 2002, I  lit my keyboardist, Father on fire blowing a fireball at him from a flaming torch. Then I lit my own legs on fire and we ran around the stage entertaining the audience. We had flame retardant suits on so it did not burn us. The people seemed to like it hahaha.
We could go on and on and on. I think we need another interview with these.
When I was young with Vengince (my other band), we got our plug pulled and I mooned the bar owner in front of everybody. That was funny, and we’ve done a lot more than that.
I also broke my ankle on stage in 2003 jumping off the drum stage. Then I finished the set for 35 more minutes. I am the real Relentless.

A penguin with a bottle of whiskey walks into the room, why is he there and what’s the first thing he says?

He is there because of global warming and Fukushima radiation which has allowed him to become a smart, English speaking drunk.

He says, FUCK YOU GUYS, I’m going home.

What’s the inspiration behind the song ‘Collapse’?

The song Collapse is about the social struggles of everyday citizens and how the oppression of the establishment is keeping people down. The song is a pure release of anger, and is not as focused lyrically as much of the ENDRAH material (It was written by original vocalist Scream S.). I do love the power of the song and I tried to give it the proper justice when we re-recorded it on our first full length record. (self-titled ENDRAH 2006 released in South America via Dynamo Records, and Europe via Coretex Records)

What are you currently working on and what can we expect to see next?

Endrah is currently recording a new E.P. and will release this around April or May 2016. The new songs mark our first new material with bassist Adriano Vivela who joined the band in late 2015. We are excited to have him onboard for this new recording of songs. The band is about to announce our next headlining tour of Brazil for May 2016. The last tour dates are being firmed up this week and should be announced maybe by the time this interview goes live.

We would appreciate it if you followed us online, listened to our music, and dropped us a line. We want to be active with our fan-base, and look forward to meeting you. – Relentless – ENDRAH Vocalist
